Chilli Con Carne


This is a great one that can be prepared for the week? Lunches/ Dinners and it’s cheap to make!

Ingredients -

  • 500g Lean Mince 5% fat

  • 1 x onion - diced

  • 1 x red pepper- diced

  • 1 x tin of chopped tomatoes

  • 14g hot chilli powder

  • 20g garlic purée

  • 5g chilli purée

  • Half a beef / bovril stock cube with 150ml water

  • 1 x drained tin of mix beans


Method

In a large frying pan using 1kcal spray lightly dry onion and peppers on a very low heat for about 15 mins. This will sweeten the onions.

Add mince and brown. Approx 5-8 mins.

Add spices, purée, stock cube with water and tinned tomatoes and simmer for 30mins on a low heat.

Add mix beans and simmer for a further 5 mins!

And you’re done!
