Low Calorie Chocolate Orange Cheesecake

This is a belter. Making some clever lower calories swaps to a traditional cheesecake recipe, I’ve managed to dramatically reduce the calories and it tastes delish!

145 calories per slice

Ingredients - serves 12

Cheesecake

  • 180g lightest cream cheese

  • 500g Fage Greek yoghurt (instead of double cream)

  • 20g x gelatine granules (baking aisle in super market)

  • 40g Stevia- 0 calorie sweetener (no icing sugar or sugar was used in my recipe)

  • 20g cacao power

  • 1 tbsp orange extract

  • a few drops of zero calories Myprotein chocolate flavour drops

  • 100ml of almond milk

Base

  • 12x Gullon sugar free digestive biscuits

  • 40g melted unsalted butter

Topping

  • 15g x Aero Chocolate Orange Melts

  • 1 x Alpro Dark Chocolate Dessert Pot

Method

Base

Blitz biscuits in a food processor and melt butter. Pour butter into biscuits and mix well. Line cheese cake tin with grease proof paper and pour in biscuit base- use a spoon to press the biscuit down. Refrigerate.

Filling

In a large mixing bowl add Philadelphia, stevia and some flavour drops (to taste), cocoa powder and orange extract.

In separate small bowl you need to soak the jelly granules (these are what make the cheese cake firm) add a few tabs of cold water and allow to soak for 2 mins.

In a pot slowly beat up the almond milk. Once boiling Add your jelly granules and mix for 1 minute (until jelly granules have melted)

Remove from the heat and allow to cool (not too much as the jelly will set- 10 mins is enough) Once cooled add jelly mix to cream cheese. Finally add your Fage and stir well.

Pour your cheese cake mix over your biscuit base and refrigerate for 3 hours!

I topped mine with and Alpro dark chocolate dessert pot and Aero orange chocolate melts!

My fiancée is a cheesecake lover and this got a massive thumbs up! 🙌🙌
