The most common thing people do when trying to lose weight is they seriously restrict their diet. Cutting out so many things they love. And Think “on no I can’t eat that” this tends to lead to yo-yo dieting. You lose it. Go back to how you ate before and pile all the weight back on!

By making a few simple substitutes in this recipe I have reduced the calories substantially...
⭐️I used no oil (it didn’t need it)
⭐️I used 5% less fat beef mince
⭐️Instead of creamy mash I opted for premade Aldi root mash - I much prefer this option
Ingredients - serves 4.
270kcal per serving.
500g 5% less fat beef mince
300g diced carrots
100g diced red onion
100g diced celery
2 x beef oxo cubes (450ml water added)
45g plain flour
40ml Worcestershire sauce
Method
Lightly fry all veg(no oil) on low heat until soft- 10 mins.
Add mince- increase heat and brown the mince. 10 mins.
Add flour and stir well.
Add stock and Worcestershire sauce.
Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 10 mins.
Serve!
