Proats Protein Oats


My guide on how to make a yummy bowl of oats using protein powder.

Ingredients


  • 40g Oats

  • Boiling water

  • 15g Protein Powder

  • 75g 0% Fage or Skyr (use a high protein yoghurt)


  • Your choice of toppings - calories above excluding toppings.



Method

In a small pan add boiling water to oats, just enough water to cover the oats, cook on a very low heat and add a touch of water every so often (you don’t want dry oats) after a few mins your oats are thick and gooey! That’s the consistency I like.


Remove from the heat. Add your protein and yoghurt. And stir thoroughly! It’ll be really dry at first because you’ve added protein powder but the yoghurt will help. If it still feels a little dry add a touch of milk.


Always add protein powder after oats have been cooked - not before or during! The same applies with the yoghurt!


Finalmy pour into a bowl and top with fruit.


I opted for blueberries, raspberries and some Sweetfreedom Choc Shot & Hottie PB (less fat)
