A fab snack or pre workout munch for some extra energy! Kids would love these too.

Why eat dates?

There are plenty of reasons to add dates to your diet. They're a good source of minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, as well as vitamin K, contributing to healthy bones. They're also high in fibre, which we need for good digestion and gut health.

P: 2g C: 10g F:6g

Ingredients

  • 12 x pitted dates- half them- mine just pulled apart

  • 25g no palm oil peanut

  • 20g roasted peanuts chopped

  • 65g dark chocolate (I used Aldi brand Moser Roth)

  • Sea Salt

Method

Line a tray with baking paper.

Lay out half dates close together. Place another sheet of baking paper on top and roll over to squish the dates together so they form a chewy base.

Next add peanut butter on top of dates and smooth across covering the surface.

Then add chopped roasted peanuts.

Finally melt your dark chocolate and pour over your peanut dates and add a bit of sea salt.

Allow to set in fridge for 2 hours
